Engineer in Residence (EIR) is a private, members-first coworking space in Balkhu, Kathmandu, started by AI engineer Pragyan Subedi (Toptal top 3%, ex-YC ML engineer) for solo founders, remote engineers and small teams.

It is built around the things that usually stop work in Nepal: power cuts, flaky internet, finding lunch and hunting for a quiet room for a call. Every desk comes with an external monitor and an ergonomic chair, the internet runs on Subisu 650 Mbps fibre with a Vianet 600 Mbps backup line, and a generator covers load-shedding.

There's a bookable meeting room, free coffee, an in-house kitchen that delivers meals to your desk, secure overnight storage for your gear and ample parking. It's open every day of the week, including weekends.

You don't need to be an engineer: designers, marketers, writers, freelancers and students are all welcome.
